What we collect
We store account details you provide, including your email address, username, display name, and optional profile photo. We also store goals, project check-ins, notes, completed achievements, friendships, posts, photos or short videos you choose to share, comments, likes, reports, feedback, and supporter purchase status.
How we use it
We use this information only to provide account access, sync your Grove across devices, show your progress, operate friend and community features, verify and restore supporter access, send reminders you enable, keep the community safe, respond to support requests, and maintain the service.
Sharing and service providers
Your shared achievements, profile name, profile photo, comments, and likes are visible through the app’s social features. Private achievements and Grove notes are not placed in the friend feed. Supabase processes authentication, database, storage, and realtime data on our behalf. Apple processes Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases. RevenueCat verifies purchase history and restores supporter access using your account ID. We do not receive your payment-card details, sell personal data, use advertising networks, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Supporter purchases
A supporter purchase is optional and processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. RevenueCat receives the purchase record and the One Thing Daily account ID needed to verify and restore access. Supabase stores whether supporter access is active, the product and transaction identifiers, store environment, purchase date, and last verification time. This information is used only for app functionality, fraud prevention, support, restoration, and account deletion.
Focus Lock and Screen Time
If you choose Focus Lock on iPhone, Apple’s Family Controls and Managed Settings APIs store selected app, category, or website choices as private tokens in the app’s shared on-device storage so the system can apply the restriction. One Thing Daily does not upload selected app names, tokens, or usage history to our servers. We store only local lock preferences, a selection count for the interface, and whether a bypass was used that day. Focus Lock is optional and can be revoked in iOS Settings. Android and web do not request usage-access, accessibility, or broad app-inventory permissions.
Photos, camera, microphone, and notifications
Photo, camera, and microphone access is optional and requested only when you use the related capture feature. Microphone access is used only for sound in a video you record. Notification access is requested only when you enable reminders. You can decline these permissions and continue using the rest of the app.
Retention and deletion
Information is kept while your account is active or as needed to operate and secure the service. Delete your account in Settings to remove your account, profile, goals, progress, friendships, posts, associated comments, reports tied to your profile, uploaded account media, and linked RevenueCat customer record, subject to limited legal, payment, fraud-prevention, or security retention requirements maintained by Apple or other providers.
Your choices
You can keep achievements private, change your profile, disable reminders, remove friends, block users, report content, change your email, restore an eligible supporter purchase, permanently delete your account from Settings, and revoke device permissions in iOS Settings.
Children
One Thing Daily is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
